Psychotherapy for Anxiety, Depression, Life Chapters and Changes
Support and somatic tools to help soothe stressed nervous systems.
Offerings
With more than two decades of experience, I currently meet with clients in person at my office in Brunswick and virtually throughout Southern Maine and the San Francisco Bay Area of California. I offer more time-limited therapy for situational stressors and longer-term options for clients who may benefit from therapy at a more gradual pace. My practice focuses primarily on women’s mental health and wellness (18 to 80+), including support for depression, relational and general anxiety, perinatal/peripartum needs, mid-life and perimenopausal adjustments and re-evaluation. I also welcome individuals who identify as being highly sensitive (HSP).

How I Can Help
My clinical approach blends talk therapy and mind-body awareness and techniques, drawing from the fields of mindfulness and mindful self-compassion, neuroscience, nervous system understanding, somatic therapy, and research on well-being and resilience. The following are just some of the areas we might focus on in our work together:
Better understand and respond to the needs and signals of your nervous system
Develop practices, or incorporate therapeutic (music) listening, to feel more grounded, present, and connected
Tend to your HSP/sensitivity-related needs, preferences, and boundaries
Deepen your capacity for rest and rejuvenation
Lessen painful or emotionally-charged memories or stuck patterns
Explore and connect with inner strengths and resources
Build healthy habits for overall emotional well-being
Feel more like yourself again
